Hi, I’m Jessie! I am currently studying Business Management MSc at Beechtown University in Hertfordshire, England. In this blog, I will share my experiences, challenges, and triumphs as I navigate the world of academics while striving to see more of Europe.
What made you choose the UK for grad school?
I chose the UK for a number of reasons – the fact that UK postgraduate degrees are typically one year in length, cheaper than my options in the US & of a very high standard also made me decide this was for me.
What do you like most about studying in the UK?
I love my friends I’ve made in the classroom, but my ultimate favourite thing – traveling around Europe! So far I’ve visited five different countries with my university friends – Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland and Portugal. Next stop… Italy!
What were the main differences between studying and competing in the US vs the UK?
I feel that academics are really prioritised here in the UK – if I’m struggling with a deadline or need more time to revise for an exam, my coaches are really understanding and help support me to balance athletics and study.
